Recruitment Policy for Participating Companies

Each participating organization is required to submit a clear and detailed Job Description (JD) with complete information about the company, profile offered, eligibility, rules and responsibilities, skills required, job type, location, cost to the company, in-hand salary offered, and joining information prior to the commencement of the hiring process. The company shall also:

  • Adhere to all mutually agreed timelines.
  • Declare selection results in a timely & transparent manner.
  • Refrain from soliciting or attempting to hire students who have already received and accepted offers from other organizations via The Placement Cell.

All full-time employment opportunities extended to students via The Placement Cell must carry a minimum guaranteed Cost-to-Company (CTC) remuneration of INR Three Lakh Sixty Thousand only (₹3,60,000) per annum.

The permissibility of unpaid internships shall be subject to scrutiny and shall lie solely at the discretion of The Placement Cell. The Cell reserves the right to approve/deny such engagements based on evaluation of the opportunity’s merit and its alignment with the interests of the student community.

In respect of internship opportunities, the duration of any such ‘Work from office’ internship shall not exceed a continuous period of two (2) months. Duration of Virtual, hybrid, or remote internship structures may be longer and the acceptance of internships longer than the aforementioned period shall be permitted only after a scrutiny by The Placement Cell and is solely upon the discretion of the Cell.

All Companies shall provide a minimum of seven (7) calendar days’ prior notice to the cell regarding the schedule of any interview or selection process. Additionally, no student shall be contacted directly by the Company without prior intimation to the Cell regarding the recruitment process. Unauthorized or uncoordinated outreach to students may be deemed a breach of protocol and may invite sanctions.

Participating companies are expected to intimate The Placement Cell within seven (7) days of issuance of offer letter to any student(s).

Companies are encouraged, in the spirit of constructive feedback and transparency, to convey the reasons for rejection of any candidate interviewed/recruitment process initiated through the Cell. This shall aid in the professional development of the student and improve future recruitment outcomes.

The Placement Cell shall function as a neutral facilitator and non-binding intermediary between the student body and the recruiting entity for the duration of the recruitment process. The Cell’s obligations shall cease immediately upon issuance and subsequent acceptance of the formal offer letter by the student(s). Any disputes, grievances, or contractual concerns arising thereafter shall be resolved independently by the parties involved, without intervention from The Placement Cell or/and P.G.D.A.V. College.

The Placement Cell reserves the right to blacklist or disqualify any Company from present and/or future engagement(s) with the Cell on account of any of the following:
